PPC Coatings exhibit high compressive strength, excellent abrasion and chemical resistance, and have a coefficient of thermal expansion similar to that of concrete. PPC Coatings can be applied over a wide range of temperatures on indoor or outdoor substrates exposed to direct sun light. The applied area may be returned to full service within an hour, saving on costly “down time” expenses and meeting limited shutdown requirements. These combined characteristics make PPC Coatings a unique floor coating, patching, groating and rehabilitation product.
- PPC Coatings can be applied from -40°F to 160°F without external heat assistance
- PPC Coatings can be returned to full service within an hour of application
- PPC Coatings have a coefficient of thermal expansion similar to that of concrete
- PPC is suitable for joint rehabilitation on industrial floors, bridges, runways, peers and loading docks
PPC is applied when a high mechanical abrasion, heavy impact, chemical resistant industrial built up floor is required. PPC resin may be mixed with any chosen size or type of clean dry aggregate filler to create a grout that can be troweled to any required thickness. The applied PPC grout will cure rapidly over a wide range of temperatures, minimizing the possibility of blistering caused by out gassing. PPC coatings have a coefficient of expansion similar to that of concrete, making it highly resistant to cracking and delaminating as a result of thermal expansion and thermal shock. PPC is suitable for application in freezer lockers or floors that experience frequent changes of temperature.
Light traffic industrial floors can be coated with PPC Premixed Intermediate Coat applied with a roller.
Light traffic, recreational & pedestrian floors can be coated with a PPC resin system only, applied with a roller.
Patching and grouting with PPC is achieved by adding the required size or type of clean dry aggregate to PPC resin, depending on the depth of patch, and creating a grout that can be poured and troweled to obtain an even surface. PPC Coatings have near zero linear shrinkage, resisting cracking between the old and patched sections.
Joints rehabilitated with PPC are impervious to water and will withstand impact and abrasion, preventing the wall of the joint from crumbling, and creating a lasting joint. PPC is suitable for patching and joint rehabilitation on industrial floors, bridges, runways, peers and loading docks, or where a high performance patch or joint rehabilitation is required.
PPC can be poured into forms or molds, or troweled to restructure a vertical substrate and return it to its original flat surface.
When the solution requires a long lasting, rapid curing product that can be applied over a wide range of temperatures, returning the area to full service within an hour and preventing costly shut downs with minimal disruption to regular activity, PPC is the suitable product.
